So separately we’ve had Tim Finn, Neil Finn, and Crowded House touring through 2025. During each of their shows there were hints at something else, and the first we heard about it was the announcement of Split Enz playing Electric Avenue in Christchurch in February.

We wait with anticipation on any other NZ dates – surely this isn’t random – surely we’re on the verge of an announcement for an NZ tour?

The current run of Crowded House dates wrap on Feb 20 before what might just be a Split Enz warm-up set at Electric Avenue, a week later. Neil’s calender in March is quiet before he reconnects with Split Enz for their first Aus date in April for Bluesfest, then the Forever Enz tour of Australia over 2 weeks in the middle of May.

At the moment, it appears there is a window for NZ dates in March or April before they head to Australia.

However, it’ll be worth checking out Electric Avenue, if you were lucky enough to get tickets (they’re sold out), otherwise heading over the ditch to see them in your favourite capital city, starting with Bluesfest on April 4 in Byron Bay.

For the first time in 20 years Split Enz have reunited with original members Tim FinnEddie RaynorNoel Crombie and Neil Finn plus Matt Eccles on drums and James Milne on bass, on the Forever Enz tour in Australia.

The tour will celebrate the group’s extraordinary catalogue, from the theatrical brilliance of Mental Notes and Dizrythmia, through the new-wave perfection of True ColoursWaiata, and Time and Tide. Expect hits like “I See Red”, I Got You,’ ‘Six Months in a Leaky Boat,’ ‘Message to My Girl,’ and plenty of classic pop songs that defined a generation.

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Split Enz’s debut album Mental Notes. That album, along with the band’s entire catalogue is part of the Enzyclopedia re-release series – the first of which is due out on November 14 via Chrysalis Records globally and Warner Music locally in Australia and NZ.
