Retro Hit Radio, is proud to support The Retro Event, and it returns in 2025, on Saturday March 29!
The Retro Event is a huge step into a time capsule with New Zealand's biggest family-friendly 80s/90s event.
Across two events in 2024, we experienced an iconic DeLorean, just like the one immortalized in "Back to the Future" as well as a 1979 Ferrari 308 as seen in Magnum PI, a Trans-AM stylised as 'KITT" made famous in the TV series Knight Rider, plus a classic 1989 Toyota Celica GT4 ST185 rally car and the cutest Lightning McQueen I've ever seen!
The event attracts over 150 vendors, selling classic toys and games straight out of your beloved flicks. From E.T.'s charm to Terminator toughness, there is something for everyone.
We deep dive into the nostalgia with activities like the cosplay competition, live music- it's not just an event; it's a real-life experience!
